Admirably staged and you will smartly dialogued, it has zero great challenge in life off its very ugly identity.” [ 8 ]

Cobb), and you will an excellent scuffling actress (Evelyn Keyes) whose sis (Nina Foch) did during the gambling enterprise and you may dated a great corrupt investigator (Jim Bannon). Its mainly a question of viewing Mr. Powell read his paces fashionably when you find yourself a huge cast out of stars and you will stars bring your regular support. Evelyn Keyes performs the great absolutely nothing lady exactly who brings forth the finest in him and you will Ellen Drew is the smooth and you can slinky vixen who becomes your towards the jams. Thomas Gomez is actually fatty while the villain and you can Lee J. Cobb really does an alternative ready concert tour given that an exhausted police inspector which eventually closes your situation.
